Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture (ITEA) is Hiring Western Science Faculty

ITEA is seeking qualified and experienced adjunct faculty to teach Survey of Western Science (SWS) courses through in person, remotely online and/ or recorded video lecture delivery methods. This need is immediate for spring 2025 and ongoing with the launch of the Hybrid Track for fall of 2025. Courses are generally two half-days from 9-1 pm or 2-6 pm MST per quarter with flexible dates during September, November/ December, February/ March and May/ June. With the Hybrid Track, there is flexibility with the scheduling of these courses and teaching commitments.

The curriculum and syllabus are established, as are teaching materials and resources, though there are opportunities to develop and implement relevant changes or create the course differently. This includes reviewing and suggesting revisions to assignments, if needed. Classes are for students in years 1-3 of our 4-year master of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture (CFEA) program. Applicants are not required to be acupuncturists or familiar with CFEA but must have a strong western medicine background.

SWS teachers report to the Director of Western Science and the President. Pay is commensurate with experience. Contact Brittany Sanelli, President, at bsanelli@itea.edu to learn more and inquire.
