[Centennial, Colorado] - The Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (CCAHM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristin Richeimer, CAE, as its Executive Director, effective immediately. After serving as Interim Executive Director since the end of August 2023, Richeimer's permanent appointment ensures continuity and stability for the Council.
“Kristin brings a wealth of experience to this role, demonstrating strong leadership and collaboration during her tenure as Interim Executive Director. On behalf of the Executive Committee of CCAHM, we are proud to announce that she will be staying on as Executive Director to support the Council’s continued success'' said Kris LaPoint, Ph.D., B.Med., M.S.O.M., LAc., President of the CCAHM. In the interim role, Richeimer has ensured smooth operations and governance, as well as new communications, engagement, and faculty development initiatives.
Richeimer’s career includes more than twenty years in association management in the medical field and other industries. Prior to joining the Council as Interim Executive Director, she spent more than a decade at a global scientific and medical thoracic oncology association, where she served as interim CEO during a pivotal leadership transition and as Chief Experience Officer, with oversight of core departments of Global Education and Conferences, Membership, Scientific Programs and two Journals. Before accepting the interim Executive Director role with CCAHM, Richeimer also consulted with healthcare clients and associations through her own boutique consulting firm.
In addition to her professional experience, Kristin has been an active subject matter expert, volunteer, and speaker in the association industry, serving as expert faculty in Event Crisis Management for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where she is also currently a member of the International Associations Advisory Council. She has also been an invited speaker on topics of member engagement and ethics for the Colorado Society for Association Executives (CSAE).

As Executive Director, Richeimer will oversee the operations, finances and strategic direction of CCAHM focusing on educational excellence, faculty and administrator development, the Clean Needle Technique (CNT) course, exam and certificate, and other needs of the member schools and the profession as they evolve into the future.
